When her family moved from San Francisco to Seoul, Alice Choy never dreamed it would lead to getting scouted by a talent agency and fast-tracked through the exclusive Star Academy. But performing onstage as one fifth of a K-pop girl group is a far cry (and many tears) from singing karaoke with her little sister in the noraebang.
