Behind every shop and message is a real person who loves books just like you. We won’t tolerate rudeness, discrimination, or any kind of abuse.

📝 Be Honest
Please be accurate when listing books. Use our [Condition Guide] to help describe wear and tear, and include clear photos. A well-read copy is totally fine—just let the buyer know what to expect.
Transparency helps protect trust in the Shimmy community.
📦 Send Orders Promptly
We ask that books are shipped within 48 hours of being sold. Life happens—if that timing doesn’t work, message the buyer to agree a new timeframe.
Buyers can’t mark an order as delivered (and you can’t get paid) until the book is actually sent, so posting quickly keeps everything moving.
Don’t forget: always keep proof of postage in case there’s an issue.

All sales and messages should stay on the Shimmy platform.
