In "The Kite Runner" graphic novel, Amir and Hassan are close childhood friends in Afghanistan. A terrible event changes their lives forever, leading Amir to betray Hassan. Haunted by guilt, Amir later returns to Afghanistan to find redemption by rescuing Hassan's son from the Taliban.
