Xanthe and her mother Flora leave London to open an antiques shop in the historic town of Marlborough. Xanthe has a gift whereby why she touches objects she connects with the story of their past. She finds an intense connection to a chatelaine and is transported back in time to help correct an injustice, spurred on by a spirit inhabiting the shop who confronts her
